Biography

Rob was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He obtained his BA in Comparative Literature and Psychology. In his post-baccalaureate research, he studied retinal comparative biology and inherited retinopathies, prior to matriculating into his MD/PhD program. His PhD focused on neuroinflammation and sympathetic nerve dysfunction in metabolic syndrome. He completed a post-doctoral fellowship in bladder neurovascular dysfunction in spinal cord injury at UAB. He also led a modified Delphi process on craniocervical dysfunction driven autonomic disorders at the Complex Disorders Alliance. In medical school, he organized the MSTP Health Equity Seminars and was a member of the SNMA undergraduate outreach committee and a student representative on the Medical Education Committee. In his spare time, he enjoys baking bread and jogging in New Haven's many green spaces, though not always in that order, and not always in equal frequency.
