Rafaela Mangino, PA-C

Rafaela Mangino is a board certified Physician Assistant in the Plastic Surgery Department, with clinical focus in hand surgery and wound care. She manages fractures, dislocations, musculoskeletal disorders, minor wounds, and post-operative surgical care. Rafaela graduated magna cum laude from University of Bridgeport's Physician Assistant program and has been a practicing PA since 2013. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, she worked in cancer research at Yale University. She is fluent in Spanish and holds an interpreter certification from YNHH. Rafaela believes that the most important factor in successful care is listening carefully to the patient’s needs and keeping an open mind in discussing treatment options, both surgical and non-surgical. Rafaela enjoys working with all age groups.
