Biography
Noor is an undergraduate student at the University of Connecticut pursuing double majors in physiology and neurobiology and human rights. Aside from her role as an intern with the AIDS program, she is a research assistant in Dr. Alexander Jackson's lab at UConn studying neuronal cell types and circuits in the lateral hypothalamus. She was named a 2020-2021 BOLD scholar where she will complete an independent research project focused on the first-generation immigrant experience with hopes of initiating a Middle Eastern cultural center. In her free time, she is a choreographer for the UConn Dance Company as well as for Evjen Academy of Performing Arts in Farmington. After graduating, she plans to attend medical school with the ultimate goal of becoming a physician.
