Biography

Nicole Hanbury is a board certified Physician Associate (NCCPA), specializing in Trauma and Critical Care. She has worked in the Yale New Haven Hospital Surgical ICU since graduating with her Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies from Northeastern University in 2014. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, as well as the Society of Critical Care Medicine; Northeast Chapter. She leads the Department of Surgery PA/APRN student clinical placement, and onboarding for all Surgical ICU staff. Her patient population includes trauma, emergency general surgery, surgical oncology, thoracic surgery, transplant, colorectal, vascular, urology, obstetrical emergency, and gynecologic oncology. Professional interests include advancing APP bedside ultrasound initiatives, critical care education, and management of ARDS in surgical patients.
