Biography

Lisa’s experience and interests will make them a valuable resource for students.

Lisa Ho joined Yale Health in 2021. They are currently the Program Manager of the Student Mental Health & Wellness Program at Yale School of Medicine. Prior to joining the staff, Lisa worked in New York City in hospitals, family justice centers, and community mental health. They also developed a day program with Columbia University Center for Anxiety-Related Disorders to treat severely anxious or obsessive-compulsive youth who were school avoidant. They received their master's in social work from Silberman School of Social Work at CUNY Hunter and their DSW from Simmons University.

Lisa's clinical interests are centered on identity-related concerns such as racial identity including biracial/multiracial, sexual orientation, and gender identity. They have also worked extensively with people with anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and family stressors. They utilize an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-based approach with both behavioral and psychodynamic approaches as appropriate. Lisa has a nuanced and intersectional perspective grounded in their lived experience as a queer person of color and child of immigrants.
