Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Khadija Khalid is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Infectious Diseases with a primary focus on viral pathogenesis and host–virus interactions. Her current research investigates the regulatory role of the CCR5- 3′ untranslated region (3′UTR) in HIV and its potential impact influencing susceptibility to viral infection. Along with that, her current projects also focuses on emerging pathogens such as Nipah virus.
Dr. Khalid completed her bachelors in Medicine and Surgery prior to transitioning into biomedical research, giving her a strong foundation in both clinical medicine and translational science. Her work integrates molecular biology techniques like cloning, viral genetics, and protein expression.
