Katrina Furey, MD

Dr. Katrina Furey is a board-certified adult psychiatrist specializing in women’s mental health and reproductive psychiatry, and a clinical instructor in the Yale University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry. She splits her time between her private practice, Sound Psychiatry LLC, in Madison, Connecticut, and Repro Psych Academy, a digital reproductive psychiatry education platform she founded in 2024 to close the training gap for individual clinicians and institutions alike. She is one of the only psychiatrists in Connecticut offering psychotherapy, medication management, and expert consultation for reproductive mental health conditions like premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (including OCD), birth trauma, and perimenopausal conditions. She also consults for Connecticut’s Access Mental Health and Substance Use for Moms hotline offering psychiatric expertise and consultation to medical providers treating women for mental health and/or substance use conditions during pregnancy and up to one year after delivery.
