About

Biography

Kate graduated summa cum laude from Florida Atlantic University's Wilkes Honors College and received a Bachelor's degree (BS) with a concentration in computational neuroscience and a Max Planck Honors distinction. Prior to joining Yale's Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program (INP) as a Wu Tsai Graduate Fellow and NSF Graduate Research Fellow, she worked in the Bidaye Lab at the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience investigating the neural circuit basis for locomotor decisions in Drosophila melanogaster by developing a multi-camera, deep learning-based pose tracking system to analyze precise leg kinematics.

Kate's research interests include investigating the neural computations that link sensory processing and behavior and quantifying those behaviors with deep learning tools and statistical analyses. She is a second-year PhD student in the Clark Lab.
