Biography

I grew up in upstate New York and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I attended undergrad at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and majored in Evolutionary Biology and Anthropology. I then attended the University of Wisconsin's Medical Scientist Training Program (MD/PhD) from 2014 - 2022. I completed my PhD in Thomas Friedrich's lab in the Department of Pathobiological Sciences in the field of Viral Evolution and specifically focused on avian influenza viruses and SARS-CoV-2. I am currently a resident in Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at Yale New Haven Health. I firmly believe that research is one of the primary forces underpinning improved patient outcomes am excited to contribute to the fields of women and maternal health as a physician-scientist.
