Biography

Henrique Oliva, MD, PhD, is a Resident in Psychiatry at Yale with a broad interest in understanding the neurobiological basis of mental health and illness. His work integrates multimodal approaches, including neuroimaging and sleep studies, to investigate brain function across a range of psychiatric conditions, including substance use and related disorders. With a multidisciplinary background in engineering, medicine, and neuroscience, he is particularly interested in translational research that bridges fundamental neuroscience and clinical care to improve patient outcomes.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Henrique values continuous learning and personal development. He enjoys engaging with new ideas, exploring topics at the intersection of science and technology, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle that includes time with friends and family.
