Biography

Giselle Carlotta-McDonald is Associate Director of Community Engagement and Participant Recruitment at the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation (YCCI), where she leads strategic outreach, partnership development, and participant recruitment initiatives that support clinical and translational research. She collaborates with researchers, healthcare providers, and community organizations to strengthen engagement, expand awareness of research opportunities, and support successful study recruitment.

Prior to joining YCCI, Giselle served as Executive Director of a local nonprofit organization, providing organizational leadership and oversight of programs designed to improve access to healthcare and community-based services. In this role, she led multidisciplinary teams of Patient Navigators and Community Health Workers, advancing initiatives that connected individuals and families to healthcare, social services, and other essential resources.

With expertise in community engagement, healthcare navigation, program management, and strategic partnership development, Giselle has built a career focused on fostering meaningful collaborations across healthcare, research, and community settings. She is recognized for her ability to lead complex initiatives, build trusted relationships, and develop innovative approaches that strengthen connections between institutions and the communities they serve.

Giselle holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a bachelor's degree in Community Clinical Psychology. Her academic background complements her professional experience in healthcare, community engagement, strategic leadership, and program development.
