Emily Jia-nan Du

Emily Du is from Foster City, California and graduated from UC Berkeley in 2026 with a BA in Molecular and Cell Biology. She completed an honors thesis in the lab of Professor Richard Harland investigating the embryonic origins of a pacemaker cell population. Emily is fascinated by developmental biology and the mechanisms of cellular self-organization. In her spare time, she enjoys reading Murakami, befriending squirrels, and occasionally going to pilates.
