Biography

Daniel Borrus is a T32 Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Yale School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry. He completed his PhD in Computational Neuroscience at William & Mary in 2021, where he used mathematical modeling and dynamical systems to understand the neural circuits responsible for mammalian breathing rhythms. His focus now is on the development and validation of omics-based biomarkers of aging.

Daniel co-created TranslAGE, a platform for epigenetic biomarker validation, which compares thousands of biomarkers across 150 harmonized datasets. As a computational geroscientist, his work is inherently interdisciplinary, spanning fields such as neuroscience, geriatrics, mathematical modeling, computational methods, and genomics.
