Biography
Blaine Eldred is an aspiring physician-scientist dedicated to the study and treatment of brain cancer. He graduated from UCLA in 2019 with a degree in neuroscience and a minor in biomedical research, where he developed a strong interest in cancer biology and translational medicine. After graduation, he was hired by Dr. Albert Lai as a laboratory manager and contributed to a variety of interdisciplinary research projects until 2025. Blaine’s long-term goal is to become an academic physician-scientist focused on advancing the understanding of brain tumors and developing more effective treatments for patients.

Overview
Blaine Eldred is a physician-scientist trainee specializing in neuro-oncology and translational cancer research. At UCLA, Blaine contributed to numerous interdisciplinary projects that leveraged imaging, pathology, and molecular profiling to better understand tumor biology and therapeutic response in diffuse gliomas.
