Dr. Byler’s interdisciplinary work leverages biomaterials and tissue engineering to better understand and treat parasitic infections impacting communities in the Global South and its US-based diaspora. She is a passionate advocate for inclusive science, multilingual communication, and international policy engagement—showcasing the critical role engineers play in advancing global health equity through R&D.
