Biography
Dr. Lucas Driskell is a clinical neuropsychologist and Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology at Yale School of Medicine. He completed his doctoral education at Nova Southeastern University (NSU), where he received the Student of the Year award within the College of Psychology and was a finalist for NSU’s Student Life Achievement Award. He went on to complete his internship in neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology at Baylor College of Medicine, followed by his two-year neuropsychology postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia.
In his clinical practice, Dr. Driskell performs neuropsychological evaluations for a diverse neurologic population, with a particular focus on individuals with cerebrovascular and neurodegenerative diseases. Broadly, his research interests pertain to the relationship between brain and heart health. He is particularly interested in the connection between cardiovascular health and cognitive longevity across the lifespan, as well as the impact of cardiovascular interventions on cognition. He is also involved in advancing education, training, and advocacy within the specialty of neuropsychology. He serves on several state, national, and international psychology and neuropsychology organizations. He was a cofounder of KnowNeuropsychology, an organization that serves as a platform for the international exchange of scientific knowledge and advancement of neuropsychology as a specialty via equitable access to education.
