Wet Lab

Food safe animal tissue is used to simulate more complex cardiac surgical procedures, such as aortic valve replacement, root replacement, valve sparing root replacement, mitral/tricuspid valve repair and replacements in the heart. These types of tissue/heart even allows an artificial heart pump (LVAD) to be implanted in the simulation lab and allows the participants to learn the principles and technical aspects necessary to implant a LVAD.
