• 00:10that they can ask outside of the
• 00:13bench research. There are clinical
• 00:15research as well as more like anthropology
• 00:18or qualitative and mixed method research.
• 00:20My project this year is we're
• 00:23taking like 50 to 100 patients
• 00:25and trying to apply genomic analysis to them.
• 00:28I'm interested in understanding
• 00:30host microbe interactions,
• 00:31so bacteria interaction with the gut,
• 00:34but I'm also interested in education
• 00:36research specifically right now.
• 00:38Medical education and disparity. I've
• 00:40spent most of my time working
• 00:43with Doctor Chappar in
• 00:45breast surgery research,
• 00:47so my research is really diverse.
• 00:49It kind of spans the spectrum,
• 00:52everything from doing collaborative
• 00:54translational research to large
• 00:56databases looking at clinical research
• 00:59questions and population health.
• 01:00Students at Yale can do research with US,
• 01:04understanding consciousness from a
• 01:06neuroscientific perspective and how.
• 01:08Understanding consciousness can help
• 01:10patients with brain disorders here
• 01:11at Yale. They really encourage you to take
• 01:14any research interest that you have and,
• 01:16like, go forth with them.
