  • 00:00So the PROSPER study is a newly
  • 00:03funded project that we are very
  • 00:06excited about as a way to have a
  • 00:09scalable solution for navigation for
  • 00:12patients with early onset cancers.
  • 00:15So this particular study team is very broad
  • 00:18and includes expertise from physicians,
  • 00:20from researchers and from patients
  • 00:22and advocates themselves.
  • 00:24So the expertise that we have on
  • 00:26this team includes medical oncology,
  • 00:29radiation oncology, cancer genetics,
  • 00:31community outreach and engagement.
  • 00:33Disparities research,
  • 00:33population science research,
  • 00:35social work and really from the psychosocial
  • 00:37needs perspective of patients as well.
  • 00:40So we're very excited to engage a
  • 00:43very diverse team for the prosperous
  • 00:46study for really meaningful outcomes.
  • 00:48The E navigation tool or electronic
  • 00:51navigation tool is one of the
  • 00:53exciting novel aspects of our program
  • 00:55for the early onset cancer program
  • 00:57and also for the prosperous study.
  • 01:00The reason that we are developing
  • 01:02this E navigation tool is because
  • 01:04we know that we need a scalable
  • 01:06solution for navigation of patients
  • 01:08with early onset cancers.
  • 01:10Another benefit of an eye navigation
  • 01:12tool is that it can be self-directed,
  • 01:15so a person can be using the
  • 01:18tool on their own time.
  • 01:20With those specific questions
  • 01:21and needs that they have,
  • 01:23so it can be much more personalized as well.
  • 01:26So we're very excited to develop this
  • 01:28E navigation tool which will have
  • 01:30modules of information that are relevant
  • 01:33to what patients might be seeking.
  • 01:35So for example,
  • 01:36where are there resources to help
  • 01:38with financial concerns or insurance
  • 01:40concerns for their healthcare?
  • 01:41Are there resources available for
  • 01:43childcare or helping to deal with family
  • 01:46responsibilities that an individual may have?
  • 01:48What are the resources for
  • 01:50fertility concerns?
  • 01:50Or sexuality medicine and in addition,
  • 01:52lots of resources for transportation
  • 01:54needs and really thinking about coping
  • 01:56with cancer from a mental health
  • 01:58perspective as well as alternative
  • 02:00strategies that might be really
  • 02:01important to help with cope with
  • 02:03cancer such as meditation techniques,
  • 02:05et cetera.
  • 02:05So we're very excited to develop about
  • 02:08a very novel E navigation tool that
  • 02:10covers all of this information in one
  • 02:12place that a patient can go to with
  • 02:15an early onset cancer diagnosis to
  • 02:17get some information that they need.
  • 02:19A really important aspect is
  • 02:20that we're planning to do.
  • 02:22Develop this in multiple languages,
  • 02:24so if English is not the
  • 02:25primary language for a patient,
  • 02:27we still want to resource that
  • 02:28is going to be really important
  • 02:30for them and meaningful to engage
  • 02:32patients across the spectrum.
