Biography

Carolina Machado is a program leader advancing access, representation, and innovation in STEM education and workforce development. She serves as Program Manager for Seeds of Success and Program Coordinator for the Yale Ciencia Initiative at Yale School of Medicine.

With a background in Manufacturing Engineering and over 17 years of experience in education leadership, Carolina specializes in designing and managing programs that expand pathways into science for historically underrepresented communities. Her work integrates strategic program management, data-driven decision-making, and cross-sector collaboration to strengthen STEM pipelines from K–12 through graduate education.

At Seeds of Success, she leads outreach and academic enrichment initiatives for K–12 students in New Haven, overseeing partnerships, operations, mentor development, and program evaluation. She also manages data collection and impact analysis to guide continuous program improvement.

Through the Yale Ciencia Initiative, Carolina focuses on communication strategy, operational efficiency, and program infrastructure. She streamlines workflows using automation and data tools, including AI-assisted survey analysis, to improve responsiveness and scale program impact.

Originally from Venezuela and a mother of four, Carolina brings a deeply personal commitment to inclusive education. Her work centers on creating learning environments where students see themselves represented in science and feel a strong sense of belonging in STEM fields.
