Overview
Rajiv Mallipudi, MD, MHS, is an internal medicine specialist who treats conditions such as blood disorders and diabetic foot osteomyelitis. He is the unit medical director of Hospital Medicine.
Dr. Mallipudi enjoys helping and speaking with patients who have complex medical conditions. "I give my patients the same attention and care as I would my family" he says.
His research interests include blood disorders often mistaken for skin cancer, strategies to reduce hospital stays for patients with diabetic foot infections, and facts and misconceptions about therapeutic ultrasound. His work explores the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration among medical professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic and investigates lesser-known genetic disorders such as Williams-Beuren syndrome.
Dr. Mallipudi is an assistant clinical professor of medicine at Yale School of Medicine.
