Biography

Dr. Marianne Passarelli grew up in Vermont and attended Cornell University followed by the University of Vermont College of Medicine. She completed her Urologic training at SUNY Health Science Center Syracuse. She practiced in Syracuse, NY for two years before moving to New Haven with her general surgeon husband Dr. James Passarelli.

Dr. Passarelli was the first woman to practice Urology in southern Connecticut. She has focused her practice on women’s health issues. She cares for patients with overactive bladder, voiding dysfunction, incontinence and recurrent urinary tract infections in addition to the evaluation and management of stone disease and hematuria. She focuses on conservative and behavioral therapies of management before considering surgical therapy. These therapies include but are not limited to dietary and behavioral management, physical therapy, biofeedback and neuromodulation.

Dr. Passarelli sees patients in Hamden, Madison, and New Haven.
