Justin Lopes, FNP, APRN

Justin completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Seton Hall University. He then received a second undergraduate degree at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University in Nursing. While in school, working towards his Masters degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Simmons University, Justin worked inpatient as a registered nurse on a neuroscience unit that focused on neurosurgery, general neurology, stroke, and epilepsy. He has joined the Neurovascular section of Neurosurgery where he works to provide holistic care to patients with neurosurgical diseases. Justin routinely sees patients with aneurysms, hydrocephalus, strokes, and patients that have suffered from subarachnoid hemorrhages. He sees patients in all phases of care including clinic visits, pre-operatively, and post-operatively. Justin is also participating in research studies regarding neurosurgical patients that have experienced a stroke and plans to develop in order to play a bigger role in research findings that can benefit patient’s overall outcomes. He is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and plans to enroll in a doctoral program in the coming future.
