Biography

Timothy Belliveau, PhD is a neuropsychologist with expertise in evaluation and rehabilitation after traumatic brain injury. Dr. Belliveau completed his PhD in Clinical Psychology at The Catholic University of America, an internship in Clinical Psychology and a fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at New York Hospital - Cornell Medical Center. He is board certified with the American Board of Professional Psychology in both Clinical Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology. Dr. Belliveau is an Associate Professor in the Neurology Department at Yale School of Medicine and serves as the Chair of Resident Wellness for the Yale Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Training Program. Dr. Belliveau has extensive experience in rehabilitation after brain injury, having worked at all levels of post-acute care, including specialized inpatient rehabilitation, coordination of home / community-based support services, and clinic-based evaluation and rehabilitation counseling. The scope of his clinical work has encompassed pediatrics through geriatrics, with brain injury severity ranging from concussion to severe brain injury. The broad goals of his clinical research are to improve precision in the measurement of cognitive change, to more effectively triage individuals who would benefit from early intervention after concussion, and to integrate data systems which support optimal monitoring of symptoms and functional status after traumatic injuries.
