Mission

To develop and evaluate treatments for smoking and for problematic alcohol consumption.

Presently we are conducting an alcohol treatment study called the ADVANCE study.

The ADVANCE Study

This is a treatment study examining the use of Varenicline (Chantix) to reduce alcohol consumption among heavy drinkers who smoke cigarettes. Click here to go to the ADVANCE study website.

Who is eligible for the ADVANCE study?

  • Adults 18-70 years old.
  • Those who want to reduce or stop your alcohol use.
  • Those who smoke cigarettes.
  • Meet other inclusion criteria for the study.
