Biography

Dr. Colleen Mistler is a postdoctoral fellow in the Yale School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. Her formal education and training experiences have encompassed physical and health education, health promotion and disease prevention, the social process of HIV/AIDS, and substance use prevention. Dr. Mistler's line of research has focused on behavioral interventions at the intersection of HIV and substance use. She has adapted and tested interventions to increase PrEP interest, uptake, and adherence among individuals with unhealthy substance use. Dr. Mistler's current work has emphasized understanding the complex relationship between physical inactivity and unhealthy substance use among individuals with HIV.
