Originally from Cameroon, Cyrianne was awarded an NIH Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University to study the metabolism of the malaria parasite. She pursued a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences in Public Health at Harvard, focusing on understanding malaria invasion. She is a postdoctoral fellow at YSPH investigating the impact of genetic variations in the malaria vaccine candidate PfRH5 on the host immune evasion.
