Occupational and Environmental Medicine Fellowship Training
GEOHealth- MENA Fellowship Training is for Medical Doctors with a specific interest in occupational and environmental health research. Trainees will enroll in the MS program in Epidemiology at the American University of Beirut (AUB), in addition to engaging in clinical training at the American University of Beirut Medical Center.
Course of Study
The Fellowship Training program requires:
- Completion of MS in Epidemiology coursework at FHS:
- 19 credits of core epidemiology and biostatistics courses
- 5 credits of elective courses
- 6 credits of thesis courses
- EOH/ Occupational Medicine courses
- Clinical training at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC)
Fellows will travel to Yale University and the University of Iowa for advanced and relevant research training.
Research
Fellows will meet regularly with GEOHealth-MENA program faculty over 2 years to work on a mentored research project in the field of environmental and occupational health.

- Travel to Yale University and the University of Iowa in the USA for environmental and occupational health research trainings
- Flight fees from and to Lebanon (for students coming from abroad)
