Policies and Guidelines

Below are some guidelines for publishing on YSM websites. If you have a role publishing to a website that represents the Yale School of Medicine (YSM), we encourage you to read through these carefully. As with all guidelines, these do not cover the extent of every publishing possibility, and you should in all cases use common sense.

If you have any question or concern about publishing certain content, ask questions of your supervisor or the YSM web team before making the content live. You can direct specific questions for the Office of Communications to ysm.editor@yale.edu

This section contains information about the policies the School of Medicine and the Office of Communications have in place for publishing all online and printed content.
This section includes guidelines that should be followed when publishing web related content. This includes guidelines when using a YSM logo and when posting content to social media.

As part of Yale’s mission, Yale is committed to “the free exchange of ideas in an ethical, interdependent, and diverse community.” That diversity includes all people regardless of ability or disability
