Biography

Dr Roberts has worked at 3 academic medical centers, the University of Vermont, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Yale University. He is board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics, medical oncology, and hospice and palliative care. He practiced medical oncology, cared for adults with sickle cell disease, and did related laboratory and clinical research, including scores of clinical trials, over almost 4 decades. He also was involved in research administration, academic administration, and IRB. He has served on committees for the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the National Institutes of Health. Current activities are clinical research and consulting for non-governmental organizations and the pharmaceutical and pharmacy industries.
