Lauren Sansing, MD, associate professor of neurology, has received the American Neurological Association’s highest award, the Derek Denny-Brown Young Neurological Scholar Award. Sansing’s work focuses on mechanisms by which inflammation contributes to secondary injury after acute brain injury, and the modulation of inflammation to promote brain recovery.
