Sidney Smith, M.D. ’67, professor of medicine at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, has been named to a new Dean’s Council on Advancement at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. The group is made up of 20 individuals who are committed to the success of the school. Council members are tasked with advancing the stature of the school by providing guidance, assistance, advocacy, and philanthropic investment in support of the school’s strategic objectives.
