Aslin Receives Prestigious Dickson Prize in Science

Yale Child Study Center Senior Research Scientist Richard Aslin was selected to receive the 2022 Carnegie Mellon University Dickson Prize in Science. Aslin is also a member of the National Academy of Sciences and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. The Prize was awarded for his groundbreaking work on children’s language learning and the associated neural underpinnings that enable its development.


The Dickson Prize in Science was established in 1969 to recognize substantial achievements or sustained progress in engineering, the natural sciences, computer science or mathematics. Aslin received the award and presented the annual Dickson Prize in Science lecture on March 30, 2023 as part of the University Lecture Series.
