Zachary graduated from Harvard University in Visual and Environmental Studies. After working as a math and science teacher in Tangier, Morocco, he performed research on the molecular pathogenesis of multiple selerosis in the Sloane Lab at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his medical degree at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and continued his training at Tulane as an Internal Medicine resident. He has collaborated on a number of exciting research projects during residency, including an investigation on critical care ultrasound and report describing a novel treatment for a specific form of heart disease. Building on his visual arts education, he has a special interest in the intersection of art with science of clinical medicine. He is passionate about physical diagnosis and the power of observation in medicine. He is excited to continue his medical training at Yale, where he will further his work in intensive care and his research on the pathobiology of pulmonary diseases. Zachary is from Columbus, Ohio. He enjoys playing music and sports and spending time with family and friends.
