    Biography

    I received my Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the CSIR–Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM)/AcSIR, India, in 2023. My doctoral research in pharmacology focused on targeting NLRP3 inflammasome-mediated inflammation in sickle cell disease and AD. I joined Rangaraju Lab as a postdoc in October 2023. My research interests center on understanding the mechanisms of neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration in AD. In the Rangaraju lab, I have characterized the interactome of Kv1.3 channels in T cells and conducted comparative analyses that revealed context-dependent functions of Kv1.3 potassium channel in microglia and T cells. My current work investigates the molecular and pathological consequences of microglia-specific ERK hyperactivation in neuroinflammation, with the goal of identifying therapeutic targets and biomarkers for AD.
