Yale Department of Psychiatry residents Daniel Camacho, MD, PhD (PGY-3); Tia Kozar, MD (PGY-1); and Amy Cheung, MD, PhD, (PGY-2) have been chosen to be members of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry (AAGP) Scholars Program.
The program is for medical student and resident trainees interested in the prospect of pursuing a Geriatric Psychiatry fellowship. Program members learn more about geriatric psychiatry through small group sessions, interactive speed career sessions, and speakers.
Other educational opportunities include mentorship, career development, networking, and participation in AAGP committees and caucuses.
Camacho, Kozar, and Cheung are Honors Scholars in the program, providing them with the opportunity to collaborate with a mentor on a scholarly project to present at the conference next year. They are among 49 residents chosen to participate in the program.
They were honored at the AAGP annual meeting held March 14-17, 2025 in Phoenix.
