Call for Donations: 31st Annual Hunger & Homelessness Auction

November 20, 2024

The 31st Annual Hunger & Homelessness Auction website is now open for submission of auction items and monetary donations.

Every year since 1993, the Yale School of Medicine (YSM) Hunger & Homelessness Auction has raised thousands of dollars to support organizations in the New Haven area that seek to alleviate poverty in our community. This event is made possible by contributions from members across YSM.

In particular, the Planning Committee relies on auction items donated by faculty, staff, and students. If you have donated in the past or would like a new opportunity to support wonderful organizations in our community, please consider donating this year. Any donation is much appreciated—we love to see the creativity, skills, and passion represented in many of the contributions (see the end of this article for a sample list of past faculty/staff/student donations). You can donate using our website or by emailing Planning Committee member McKenzie Prunier (mckenzie.prunier@yale.edu). We will be accepting auction item donations until Jan. 3, but monetary donations can be made using our website until the day of the auction.

Also, please mark your calendars for the day of the event, Jan. 9, at 6 p.m., in Cafe Med (Harkness Hall, 367 Cedar Street). If you plan to attend, please click here to RSVP.

We invite you to take a break from work or studying to join us for an evening of fun, philanthropy, and community!
