Overview
John P. Moriarty, MD, is an internist who takes a holistic approach to treating patients in Yale New Haven Hospital’s Adult Primary Care Center. “I consider the illness they have and the world they live in,” says Dr. Moriarty.
He is an associate professor of medicine (general medicine) at Yale School of Medicine. His research has focused on finding ways to improve the process of caring for patients. He is currently studying the impact of team assistants on the clinical environment, and the quality of communication at the time of hospital discharge and its association with adverse outcomes later.
