Biography
Dr. Parikh is currently a medical resident in the Cardiology Physician-Scientist Training Program. Previously, Shan completed his MD/PhD at the Vanderbilt Medical Scientist Training Program where he investigated mechanisms of arrhythmias and contractile dysfunction using human induced pluripotent stem cell derived cardiomyocyte (hiPSC-CM) models of hypertrophic and dilated cardiomyopathy. At Yale, Shan intends on training as a general cardiologist and building a basic science lab focused on discovering novel therapeutic targets in heart failure.
