My other academic interest revolves around education and training of young physicians both in the US and abroad. I am the founding Director of Global Health Office and co-director of Yale-Stanford J&J Global Health Scholar Program where I have focused on development of bilateral relationship with institutions in resource-limited regions with the goal of improving human capacity in health care sector. I have served as the Co-Chair of the Education Committee of the International Society of Nephrology where I focused on the development of nephrology as a clinical specialty in resource-limited regions of the world. I retired from clinical activities as of July 1, 2020 but will continue with my teaching activities as well as oversee projects in Liberia.
