Transportation Information
The TransLoc app includes the routes of several Yale shuttles, including the Yale/VA shuttle.
Long Wharf: CT Transit Bus Route Z. Pick up at New Haven Green, drop off 1 Long Wharf. (Jill has inquired with Yale Transportation Office to see if they have any further suggestions about getting to 1 Long Wharf and also to let them know that we would like to see the Long Wharf shuttle back in operation.)
Norwalk/Greenwich area sites: The Norwalk Transit website explains the shuttle options from the Norwalk Train Station to various sites including Greenwich Hospital.
YNHH Saint Raphael Campus (SRC): The Ride Systems app shows all of the shuttle lines operated by YNHH. There is a continuous loop shuttle between YNHH and SRC campus. Parking is available in the Scranton Garage at the cost of $51/month.
Bridgeport Hospital: Take Metro-North to Bridgeport Transportation Center, then Bus Route 1 from the Transportation Center to Barnum Ave at Central Ave.
All of the Yale-operated shuttles are free; students just need to show Yale ID. The other services charge a fee and that will depend on the students’ needs, whether they are going to a site for a one day session or will be at a site for several weeks. Students can go to the websites and calculate the fees based on their needs. The Norwalk/Greenwich shuttle has a “UniTicket” with Metro-North and when purchased together you get a significant discount.
