Created in December 2020 and inaugurated in June 2021, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Internal Medicine (ODEIM) supports and implements the department’s DEI plan.
The ODEIM is currently led by Vandana Khungar, MD, Msc, vice chief representation from each section, and departmental staff.
The Diversity Committee is the at-large group of interested individuals throughout the department.
Some members of the Diversity Committee have also volunteered for individual Working Groups (netID login required) which are focused on Innovation, Early Pipeline, Recruitment, Retention, Funding & Resources, Data/Metrics, and PR/Marketing.
