Dr. (and Sister) Veronique Uwamariya, MBBS
Brief Bio:
Dr. Uwamariya began her career as a nurse in 1999. Soon afterwards, she entered the mission of the Order of the Hospices Civils de Beaune, an order devoted to serving the poor and sick, which began in the late 15thcentury. Dr. Uwamariya took her final vows in 2010.
She completed her medical degree at the University of Rwanda in 2016, and now serves as a 3rd year resident at the University Teaching Hospital of Kigali. She is here for a month as part of an exchange with Yale-New Haven Hospital.
