Cardiovascular Disease Support Group: "Overview of Prescription Assistance Programs"

Yale New Haven Hospital participates in the 340B Program which is designed to assist patients with limited or no access to prescription drug insurance coverage to better afford their medications. This program offers qualifying patients a discount on their prescription medications. The discount varies for each prescription. In addition, Yale New Haven Hospital offers a number of ways to help qualifying YNHH patients on prescriptions written by YNHH providers address affordability. Discounts may also apply to some over-the-counter medications if a YNHH provider prescribes them. In addition, the discount may apply to some asthma and diabetes supplies, if the prescription was written by a YNHH provider.
