Biographical Info

Brian Reichow, Ph.D., is an Associate Research Scientist at the Yale Child Study Center. He completed his doctoral studies in Special Education at Vanderbilt University, where he received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. Dr. Reichow completed his Undergraduate training in Elementary Education and Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and was a public school teacher for children with autism spectrum disorders for many years in the Durham Public Schools. As a researcher, Dr. Reichow has led numerous investigations of interventions for young children with autism and has led numerous systematic reviews and meta-analyses of autism interventions. Dr. Reichow's current research interests include methodological issues of meta-analytic techniques, identifying evidence-based practices and treatments for children with autism, and the translation of clinical and laboratory research findings into practice. Dr. Reichow is an editor, along with fellow Yale colleagues Fred Volkmar, M.D. and Dominic Cicchetti, Ph.D. of the recently published book, Evidence-Based Practices and Treatments for Children with Autism.
