The laboratory kindergarten is a major component of Yale-China Program on Child Development.
Yale University will choose qualified Chinese kindergarten programs as lab schools. These kindergarten programs share the following characteristics: having a positive climate and cohesive culture of teaching and research; being capable of carrying out and completing experimental tasks; willing to fulfill the correlative obligations.
The term of the cooperation between Yale University and lab schools is three years during which we offer continuous support to the lab schools in the following aspects in accordance with the cooperation agreement: sharing American early childhood education philosophy and management experience; introducing American early childhood education curriculum, toys and teaching aids; training kindergarten administrators and teachers, promoting exchanges and cooperation between American early childhood education institutions and lab schools; providing guidance and consultation on how to build a high-quality lab school.
To comply with the cooperation agreement, lab schools are required to perform their jobs and accomplish experimental tasks according to plans and procedures, and to offer reports annually. Through collaborative research, academic exchanges and resources sharing from Chinese experts, scholars, administrators and teachers in preschool and kindergartens, we aim to gain recognition from both parents and children by establishing internationalized, high standard and exemplary early childhood lab schools.

May 2014, Baoding. President Yankun Liu of Huijia Shenghe Kindergarten Beishi District of Baoding signed the agreement for Yale Family to become a Yale lab school.

From 2013 to present, Beijing Tomorrow Kindergarten Group teachers and children have been practicing Yale-Kaplan curriculum LEARN EVERY DAY.

July 2014, Beijing. Dr. Walter Giliam and Dr. Tong Liu met with President Baoling Yang of Beijing Tomorrow Kindergarten Group.
August 2012, Beijing. President Jiazhen Zheng of Beijing Tomorrow Kindergarten Group, signed agreement for No.1 Kindergarten to become a Yale lab school.
