AI in Medicine Student Interest Group Monthly Seminar
Training in the Era of Artificial Intelligence
The rapid expansion of artificial intelligence in clinical medicine has led to novel opportunities for trainees both in shaping their career trajectories and providing avenues for research.
In this talk, Dr. Donald Wright will discuss his path from residency in Emergency Medicine at Yale through a research fellowship during the emergence of large language models, into his current position as a fellow in clinical informatics. He will discuss the rapid pace of recent innovations and the opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration with data scientists.
After the talk, he will be joined by Dr. Naga (Sasi) Kanaparthy, also from the Yale-VA clinical informatics fellowship for a short panel discussion on career opportunities in clinical informatics.
