2025 Robert S. Sherwin YCCI All Scholar Day

First launched by Dr. Robert “Bob” S. Sherwin, the inaugural director of the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation, the Robert S. Sherwin YCCI All Scholar Day is a celebration of the center’s educational programs and the accomplishments of the trainees and scholars at all levels.

Now in its twentieth year, the YCCI has supported more than 227 junior faculty members. Greater than 99 percent of our scholars remain engaged in research continuing to successfully compete for independent grants (including 540 NIH grants) worth over $1.4 billion and publishing approximately 10,800 papers.

The successes of the program are a reflection of Dr. Sherwin’s visionary leadership, tremendous dedication, and passion for training the next generation of clinical and translational researchers.
