Hesper Rego is named a 2018 Pew Scholar

Hesper Rego, assistant professor of microbial pathogenesis, has been named a 2018 Pew Scholar by the Pew Charitable Trusts. The award funds young investigators of outstanding promise. Rego’s lab investigates how individual bacteria create and maintain non-genetic sources of variability, an apparently important survival mechanism for such bacteria as Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
