- 00:18Sure, uhm well I have.
- 00:21I have Twins and they just, um,
- 00:24graduated from high school last year.
- 00:27They were both in gap years and my
- 00:31daughter is in Germany helping right now,
- 00:34helping working with children and young
- 00:38adults that are refugees in Germany and
- 00:42or with kids with some with some issues.
- 00:46And my son and she's still been right now.
- 00:50My son is was doing a gap here in
- 00:53South Africa where he was working
- 00:56with kids in the townships and
- 00:59providing care for them and.
- 01:02He actually had to come back home
- 01:04after the country lock down or
- 01:06break prior to the lock down,
- 01:08and so he's been at home with my husband and
- 01:11me and and that's that's been really nice.
- 01:14I mean, I, I think it's less interesting
- 01:17for him to be with his parents at this time,
- 01:20but it's it's really nice to see
- 01:23how he's grown up and to be able
- 01:25to share and have
- 01:26conversations and dinner with the both
- 01:28of them. Yeah, go ahead appreciating
- 01:30that quality time, yeah?
- 01:32And is there anything here that
- 01:34is there anything that you wish
- 01:36your patience knew about you, um,
- 01:38or you know what makes your job?
- 01:40What are you so passionate about right now?
- 01:42Those are two kind of parting
- 01:44questions. I was
- 01:45thinking about asking. Uhm, you know.
- 01:49I think that most of my patients know, uhm?
- 01:54That Uh, that I'm passionate about
- 01:58what I do and and I'm passionate
- 02:01about communicating with them. I do.
- 02:05I do have the the honor and privilege of
- 02:09working with the quality committees in asco,
- 02:13which is our professional society and
- 02:16have a nice have a good look at at the
- 02:21really thoughtful conversations between
- 02:23caregivers and including doctors, nurses.
- 02:26I know pharmacists and lab folks
- 02:29and all everybody who provides care
- 02:31across not only our system but
- 02:33but across the USA tonight really.
- 02:39Would love for them to know that
- 02:41you know people are really thinking
- 02:44of them and especially during this
- 02:47time and trying to make really safe
- 02:50choices to help protect patients
- 02:52until allowed them to get care.
- 02:56It's. It's some, it's a really
- 02:58fantastic team as you know that
- 03:00we have it's Milo and I want to
- 03:03make sure that they know that.
- 03:07For me in particular,
- 03:09I think being uhm being you know
- 03:12Asian and my husband is German
- 03:15and so we have a cross cultural
- 03:18family and extended network.
- 03:20I just want folks to know that
- 03:24you know the care that we give is
- 03:28really meant to be inclusive of
- 03:31all folks and we want to we feel
- 03:34that having a diverse team and and.
- 03:38Being able to meet the needs of diverse
- 03:41communities is really important too, so.
- 03:45Thank you so much for
- 03:46taking the time to do this.
- 03:48I really appreciate it and I know,
- 03:50um, all of our patients are really
- 03:52going to appreciate getting to know,
- 03:54you know, thank you.
- 03:56It's it's a little interesting experience,
- 03:57but, uh, I'd love to be able
- 03:59to ask my patients the same way.
- 04:02I often have great conversations,
- 04:03but I think that one of the
- 04:05and I know you feel this way.
- 04:07One of the greatest.
- 04:10Privileges of what we do is
- 04:12to be able to have that.
- 04:14Peak in connection to to so many
